Nashville housing market showing signs of strong rebound

Lee

July 2020

Greater Nashville Realtors reported this month that home closings for the month of June are up 0.5 percent from last June. This marks the first increase the Nashville housing market has seen in three months, despite an overall still-strong economy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Greater Nashville Realtors president, Kristy Hairston said, “A 0.5 percent increase from last year is exciting and shows us that our buyer’s housing demand is strong. While it’s apparent the uncertainty of the last few months affected the market during the second quarter, we see that trend changing.” The increase in pending sales over last June is unprecedented, with 4,648 this month compared to 3,645 last year. These numbers indicate that a strong July is also likely. At Omni, we remain committed to helping our sales clients navigate the market during this uncertain time.
